GRADE
|
HUMANITIES
Throughout the grades, language
arts skills are taught primarily as an integral part of
the social studies curriculum. These skills become the means
for the child to explore and express her own learning process.
History, geography and language arts bring the child a living
experience of the larger world and are used as the core
material for developing reading, writing, listening and
speaking skills.
|
MATHEMATICS
Mathematics shows
the children the wondrous relationships in the world around
them. Work with a variety of methods and materials provides
an ac-tive understanding of skills and concepts. Foundations
are laid for the flexible thinking needed for higher mathematics.
