Classroom and Homeschooling Materials: Resource LibrariesunderSCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

We would very much like to see that everyone interested in Enki Education has the opportunity to work with our materials. However, as a fully independent program, we do not have endowments or other resources to support a comprehensive scholarship program, and production of materials is very costly. Still, we will do our best to assist those in need. If you would like to apply for a scholarship (available only for packages), please read this entire page carefully, fill out the forms, and sign the bottom. This includes a commitment to purchase so please read with care.

Due to the high demand for scholarships APPLICATIONS are only accepted from October 1st to April 30th each year. Applications received outside these dates will not be processed. In addition, we can only grant a limited number of scholarships each year. Therefore, scholarship recipients are chosen from a pool of qualifying applicants on a first come basis. All decisions are made in May, and ALL applicants will be notified about eligibility in mid-May.

We have structured our approach to scholarships to give you a chance to get to know the Enki approach without undue risk for either of us. The way this works is this: once we have determined your eligibility and that we have appropriate materials, we grant a fixed discount. Because of the high production costs for our extensive materials, the largest discount offered directly is 50%. This makes the cost the equivalent of paying $5 - $7 a week for the year (PLEASE NOTE - due to the high costs of administration, we cannot take weekly payments but must receive the scholarship payment as a block). We do have a donor who will further help those determined to be in exceptional need and in exceptional situations, those for whom $5-$7 per week is not possible. Simply make note of this on the application.

Our scholarship program is made possible through the geneous donations of time by the scholarship committee and Enki admistration. Therefore, we ask that only those ready to make a commitment to purchase for the 50% reduction send in an application. Misuse of volunteer time by those not sure of their intent to purchase has been a problem and threatens our ability to continue to offer this program. As a result, applying for a scholarship, which includes signing this information page, constitutes a commitment to purchase if you are awarded the full 50% reduction.

If you are applying for a scholarship of more than 50% because of an exceptional situation, this commitment does not apply. However, exceptional situations must be just that. This includes both significant financial, health, or responsibility (caring for an aged partent etc.) challenges. If you are granted less than a 50% scholarship, the application commitment is not binding.

The scholarship program represents a significant extension by Enki Education and is set up to serve those who would have no other way to purchase an Enki package. Therefore, in assessing your eligibility we will consider all your means of obtaining funds. This means that families with access to state funding, or having significant savings or equity in their home, or in the process of training for a well paid career (in law or medical school, or the like), will not qualify. Basically, if your budget looks as though you could find $10-$15 a week to put into your child's education, you will not qualify and we ask that you not apply so the committee can support those in more extreme need.

If you qualify for a scholarship, the next step is to order the Foundation Guides at the full price. If, after reading them, you decide you want to continue with the package purchase, the cost of the Foundation Guides is applied, IN FULL, towards the scholarship package price you have been granted. If you decide that Enki is not a good fit at that point, you have invested the cost of the Guides and no more. This makes it a mutual risk and leaves the responsibility to make sure it is a good fit on the buyer. There are no returns, refunds, or reselling.

If coming up with the payment all at once is a problem, once the scholarship is awarded you can purchase books one at a time at full price and we will honor the scholarship package price as the maximum you will spend.

To assist with our scholarship program, we ask that those who are finished with their Enki materials and would like to donate them to the scholarship program, return them to us. We will see that they go to deserving hands. We are also accepting cash donations to this fund, and since we are a federally recognized, non-profit corporation – 501(c)(3) - all donations are tax-deductible.
